Water Filter

Project goals:
The objective of this activity is to design and build a water filter made of every day materials.

Learning objectives:
After the activity, students will be able to:
– Understand the nature of the different filters and their purpose
– Apply technological design in solving a problem
– Be familiar with scientific inquiry

Situated context of the problem:
Filtration systems are fundamental to improve the quality and sanity of drinking water. In a first step these filters remove visible impurities on the water.

Problem Statement:
How can we create a water filer with every day materials that leave the water clear and without visible impurities?
