Goals

Τo encourage new teachers or students to use robotics and programming as a learning tool. This can be achieved by getting to know the programming software first, “Lego Mindstorms EV3” and then the robotics educational kit “EV3”.

Learning Objectives

The main purpose is to introduce university students to the the fairly new field of educational robotics. With the software students will be able to program basic robots of various kinds in Visual Basic. The long-term aim is to take advantage of this knowledge and use it to educate students of all ages.

Context

This program can be taught at a technology oriented course. The courses serve to familiarize university students with the new technologies and eventually use them inside the classroom to make problem-based learning more interesting.
